The Australian and NSW governments offer a range of financial incentives, programs and initiatives to eligible businesses in Parramatta.

Research And Development 

Tax offsets are available for eligible costs incurred in research and development activities.

Boosting Business Innovation Program (BBIP) is for small to medium enterprises (SMEs)who want to enhance collaboration between NSW research organisations and their business.

Tech Vouchers of up to $15,000 in funding are available for SMEs for research collaboration with BBIP partners.

Incentives for hiring staff in NSW

The NSW Government offers a payroll tax rebate on wages paid to approved apprentices and new entrant trainees recognised by the NSW Department of Industry.

The Industry Growth Centres Initiative is a program to drive innovation, productivity and competitiveness for businesses involved in the following industries:

  • advanced manufacturing
  • cyber security
  • food and agribusiness
  • medical technologies and pharmaceuticals
  • mining equipment, technology and services
  • oil, gas and energy resources  

The NSW Medical Devices Fund provides financial support to help take a locally-developed medical device innovation to market. 

The MedTech Knowledge Hub is a collaboration between academia, industry and government to improve the business environment for all facets of the medical technology industry.

Dementia and Aged Care Services Research and Innovation Fund provides grants for research that address priority areas. 
The Australian Government provides an industry assistance program for advanced manufacturing.
