Darcy Street to close for Parramatta Square development
Get ready for more changes in the Parramatta CBD.
Planning is underway to close Darcy Street to make way for the development of Parramatta Square.
It will be closed to traffic and pedestrians between Church Street in the west to the pedestrian crossing adjacent to the Sydney Water building in the east.
Developer Walker Corporation is finalising traffic requirements and timing of the closure expected in early to mid-January.
“Council believes this timing will minimise the initial impact on the City particularly for businesses, students, visitors and employees,” a City of Parramatta Council spokeswoman said.
